Frequently Asked Questions
Are the Museum in Covent Garden and Depot in Acton open?
Keeping our visitors and staff safe is our top priority. In light of recent Government advice surround the coronavirus, we have made the decision to close our doors from 5pm on Tuesday 17 March until further notice. This includes our Museum, Shop and Canteen in Covent Garden and our Depot in Acton, and our library.
Your museum admission ticket is valid for an entire year so please come back and visit us when we’re open.
Are events at the Museum and at the Depot going ahead?
All events taking place between Wednesday 18 March until Sunday 31 May are no longer going ahead. We know this will be disappointing news for many people, but we would love to welcome you back to similar events in the future.
Ticket holders may choose to rebook an event at a later date or donate the cost of your ticket to the Museum. More than 80% of our operating costs are raised through ticket sales and commercial activity so your generous support will be invaluable, helping us to continue our education and heritage work when we reopen.
